The Bee WC 671

This poem by Emily Dickinson always comes to mind when walking around my yard or in the woods.

"The bee is not afraid of me,
I know the butterfly;
The pretty people in the woods
Receive me cordially.

The brooks laugh louder when I come,
The breezes madder play.
Wherefore, mine eyes, thy silver mists?
Wherefore, O summer’s day?"

I always have lots of bees when my rhododendrons flower in April each year and they are completely oblivious to me. Sony Nex-6, 16-50mm lens at 55mm equiv., ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/1000, HH; brightness, saturation, and sharpening done in post. Comments and suggestions always welcome and thanks for viewing.

Beautifully warm and inviting, Jim. (Perfect antidote to a cold dreary winter day and a great poem.) I like the focus on the bee and how you've supported it with the mix of flowers and leaves.
