Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/50 @ f8

Taking a short detour from the tulips (more coming though). We have had a reasonably mild winter and it looks like Spring is arriving early. This is one of our callas that I shot this afternoon. The cyan cast is from all of the dark green leaves surrounding the bloom and reflecting a lot of light onto the flower. I decided to leave it be. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill, I like the close in look, except the cyan cast. Sorry about that.

This is marvelous Bill. I like the original version considerably more because you're playing the warm tone off the cooler ones.

fascinating image and well managed colours.
Only (but it's a question of tastes) I do not find convincing all that OOF zone in the left-low zone.
All the best,

I really like the dof and the super details. the cyan cast doesn't bother me. Makes a nice contrast with the warm toned center.

This is just exquisite, Bill !! I rather agree with Igor about the colour - the original seems that much stronger to me. Love the sharpness and detail of the spadix seen against the softness of the surround.

Wonderful! Just enough shape of the calla, and I like it that you left the natural color from reflecting light. The flower center presents delightfully.
P.S. Okay, how about somewhere in between on the color correction?
