Another shot of the Andean Cock-of-the-rock as he had just started to display. These guys are loud, animated, and quite amusing to watch.

I just commented on your previous post of this guy and then saw this one. It looks like dew dripping from the leaves, very cool. Great colors and details. The open beak ads a lot IMO. Outstanding! :toast:

Not quite as strong as the first post, Chuck, but still very good. The head gives a little more detail but the motion blur in the wings (unavoidable under the conditions) is a bit distracting. Wonderful job on the reds, which are quite difficult to properly expose.

If you are still down there, say hello to Angel for me.

Thanks for posting another photo of this guy. Like the detail in the head. Good colors. Do think first post is the better of the two.

Super capture.
So much red plumage makes exposure tricky and you've handled it well.
I like the pose and the atmosphere of a dark damp forest.
It is a shame that the wing plumage is out of focus but still a lovely image.

Hey Chuck,
Well done on both images of this fellow, I agree with all that's been said so far. Very impressive the way the eye really stands out in that beautiful red plumage.
 Man !
