Ruby Road View

Last week I traveled to Arizona to escape the mid winter snow and cold of Ontario. While there I like to catch up on a photography magazine called Arizona Highways. In the back of one magazine they had a write up on Ruby Road. Checking my map I was 10 miles from this very location. Loaded up the car and found the most amazing, beautiful road I have ever traveled. The highway to Tofino B.C was my previous favorite and it has now been replaced. If you are in Arizona in the Rio Rico Area...check this place out. No one there and stunningly beautiful. I only made it 4 miles down the 20 mile road before we had to turn back. 10 years ago, I would have run out of film I took so many shots!!!

Shot with Sony A77ii and 70 - 300G

Took me awhile to spot the "wildlife". Mule deer I think. Beautiful view.

Nice shot and the lines lead the eye into the image. But the deer are to small to be a significant part of the image.

Hi Gary,

I like the expansiveness and the almost "Where's Waldo?" nature of this. I agree with Jerry that the look like muley's (and it's certainly muley habitat).

I wonder if you posted this image in another place (other than a wildlife gallery) anyone would notice the deer? I'm guessing anyone looking at it in here is specifically LOOKING for an animal.

Nice 'scape - and thanks for sharing the information about the road.

Cheers...

Brad
