Giving everyone a break from the Mt Rundle pics  . This is from last May in Yellowstone. Some of the scenery gave me the impression that I was viewing the landscape of another planet and I processed this image to convey that feeling. Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

I know the location well, Carey. This is a neat rendition of an often photographed spot. That single cloud and the black sky are perfect for making this look like the alien world (that it really is).

It does look quite alien. I expect Captain Kirk to pop out from behind the formation. Very trippy processing.

That's neat. Lotsa neat things in here. Even a close-up of those steps in the FG would have been nice. Yeah, it does look alien.
Good detail in the large image.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the feedback. Didn't really do anything too out of the ordinary as far as the processing went; I simply darkened the blue channel a little more than usual when I did the conversion in Lightroom. Thought it would give the image a similar appearance as the shots I have seen that were taken from the moon. Guess it's not everyone's cup of tea, judging by the low number of views and responses. :toast:
