I've not had the chance to do much editing from our southern Utah/northern Arizona trip at New Year but have finally gotten into it. This is another from the morning of January 2 at the Grand Canyon. Please see B&W version below. All comments welcome. >=))>

Beautiful and not so common a view of the canyon with snow. The storm light is really nice and you certainly took advantage of the conditions. I'd love to see this in B/W.

Real nice clearing storm. Very well captured. I am with Gary, I would also love to see this in B&W.

I'll have to second Gary's and Harley's thoughts on this beauty, Bill. I love the drama here.

I like the possibilities here, Bill. I'm not sure how you did the conversion, but i think there is more to be brought out of this image. The nuances of tonal range in the original image need to be brought out in a more definitive manner. The separations of mid tones in particular have all blended together. I think a curves layer that separates the midtones could really make this sing. I wish i could more effectively convey what I see, but I know there is a super image there that I am not yet seeing.

Nice details and textures in this Bill and a unique view which I like. I agree with Gary's comments about the B&W image. Great job on this one though.

Very dramatic. The light and shadow really make this image sing. I wasn't thinking Grand Canyon when I opened the thumb so I'm really liking this. Beautiful layering and the creeping shadows are spectacular

This is a fine view, Bill, of some special conditions. I prefer the color version because there's more contrast between the distant buttes and the sky, but as Gary suggests, there may be things to do in the conversion to fix that. I find the color shift across the frame interesting also, the distant views, especially the sky, seem too blue, but the whites look perfect.

Other than a too magenta shadow color balance for me, love the diagonals and repetitive ridge lines. Possibly a black color adjustment would improve the magenta if you are into tinkering.
