Scarlet Ibis, at the zoo

Plenty of natural light in the zoo's rainforest exhibit and the ibis were very active. This one took some time to groom itself allowing for a few photos.

I like close ups and this is nice John.. Just a pity about the upright branch in the back. No big deal.

Very striking image John.
Even though the BG is a bit cluttered and not at all ideal the main subject is strong enough to dominate.

nice details and pose, John. I'd do a little noise reduction on the background and might consider taking a bit off the left for the composition.

Very appealing shot with a nice sense of mystery.

From the Posting Guidelines: Photos taken of captive birds at zoos and wildlife rehabilitation centers may be posted in the POP Gallery

I'm going to move this over to POP.

Lovely light and color. I might be tempted to clone out the leaf that is touching her beak. The bird is beautiful, and you did a nice job, here.
