The evergreens do a fine job of framing the distant valley and setting up this fine winter scene, John. The blues look too saturated, but as I know well, getting reasonable colors from a film scan is a big challenge.

Technical issues from scanning aside, I like how you've used the trees in the FG (maybe mid-ground is more accurate?) to frame the valley John. It adds a lot of depth to the image. Also the sky appears to have some small lenticular clouds, a favorite of mine! Thanks for sharing

A beautiful scene John, with lots of interesting elements that all fit together perfectly. I especially like the shadows in the foreground. If it were possible to "do over", I probably would have liked a bit more of the right tree showing, and there is some space on the left. Since this was taken many years ago, it would be interesting to see what the same view looked like today. Nicely done!

Fantastic scene, John. I know this was a spectacular slide, so it's sure worth more work to fix the scanning problems.
