Hi everyone! Here's an image I took a while back that I forgot to post.

My dad and I were on a drive on the dirt roads near our place. The light was leaving as we found these guys, but we quickly grabbed a few shots before the light was totally gone. I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

Thanks for lookin'! :wavey: I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I do like this Jenaya. I really like being able to see just a bit of detail in the buck. The only thing that I am struggling with is the bucks in the distance, especially the one overlaying the big guy. Great image nonetheless.

The creamy pinks and blues give this a great mood. No wonder you like that. The near buck looks good and is well positioned. (I like the lifted front foot!) Truthfully, I think this would have been top shelf, IF you could have had just the near big guy and the one out-of-focus guy facing him, which would have made a great "implied story" kind of image. As it is, the overlap of the other two bucks spoil the effect, in my opinion. If you want to veer into the real of strong manipulation you could probably eliminate those two in some serious post processing. However, it is usually more fun to just go out and see if you can get them a little different next time!

Jenaya, that big buck in the FG is almost perfect, great body position PLUS the lifted front foot and the level of detail works for this story. As the others have said, it probably would have been stronger to have only a single "challenger", but I like Lon's answer of 'fun to go try again'. Having said that, it is a cool image, and the colour of the sky combined with the use of near-silhouettes, adds to it's appeal :toast:
