Ya gotta be kidding me, Jefferson! I can't get a decent capture of a blue (belted) kingfisher, let alone this gorgeous version!
Great pose and look from (and at) this kingfisher, wonderful rich and smooth background, and very pleasing comp. If I could suggest an improvement in post it would be to leave a little space above the twig that runs off the frame if you have it in the original file, or simply clone that errant branch out. A suggestion for the field would be a higher f-stop to possibly hold the entire perch within the DOF, but I'm looking at myself in the mirror as I write that (I struggle with remembering that in the moment) and also recognize we are often left with decisions that mean a compromise to one aspect of an image in order to achieve a preferred result (like this wonderful background!).
