Hey David,
This is an excellent composition, the perch out over the water, the position of the subject, the pose he gave you and that wonderful BG reflection. I might consider a little selective lightening of the Otter and the perch as they seem a bit dark on my monitor. Also I should mention that the detail is very sweet.
Well done . . . :toast:

Beautiful comp :toast:The lighting seems too dark It's a bit hard to really appreciate this fella. IMO, I'd lighten the whole photo, and work with a bit of judicious contrast. Also, I wonder, if you have just a bit more of the reflection of the log on the LS at the bottom. It looks intriguing.

Very nice image. Otter images can sometime be difficult. This one is great. I agree with the comments about selectively lightening it.

Outstanding river otter image!!! Great pose, detail and color. Would not change much as far as light or dark. I have found getting good detail in river otters in zoos to be challenging, this is well taken. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful light, low perspective, an alert head turn and naturally strong composition make this one really nice. I especially like the soft colors reflected on the background water. :toast:

David,
Great pose here, totally relaxed. If it were mine I would definitely try to lighten a little, but watching out for blowing the highlights on the right of the face, :toast: :toast:

What a handsome otter! I've always wanted to photograph one. I like his pose, he looks so regal. Nice image!
