Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/50 @ f8

Ever since we got back from our trip a week ago it has been drab and dreary most of the time, especially the past three days. However we have a pretty robust stand of callas that are just starting to bloom so I decided to sneak outside in between showers and pop off a few shots. Improved my disposition a lot. All comments welcome.>=))>

Nice lines and shades of green. I like the water drop at the tip of the petal. Nicely done!

Isn't it great what photography does for your spirits?! This is really nice, Bill. The light does look very flat. Love your angle of view and the water drops– especially the one that looks like a 'sinker' on the drooping end of the petal. I might try to pop the droplets a tad, not to suggest there was more light than there was, but to define them a little better. Just a thought, because the image certainly tells us about the drear…

A great mood booster, Bill. I just wish for a little more dof on the front of the flower. :wavey:

It all feels very damp and just a bit drear indeed, Bill ! The soft, aqueous colours I like a lot - just wonder how it would look with the deeper droplets in focus as well as the nearer ones. The leaves to the R are a nice touch.
