I love almost everything about this photo - the morning light, the position of the bird, the composition, the exposure, the DOF. But then there's the poop :mad: Does that ruin it for you?

Great look at the namesake of this bird - love the spread tail too and the bit of habitat between the rock and OOF trees. The guano doesn't ruin it at all for me.

The poop is not a problem for me - clearly shows the natural habitat! The bird is beautiful.

Carol,
I knew someone who was obsessed with removing the poop from perches, but then he also disliked Elephant poop in Africa. Both are totally natural and whilst they can sometimes be distracting, mostly they are not and certainly not in this case. Nature is not always very tidy :biggrin:
This is very nice indeed perhaps just a tad more room on the right?

A beautiful shot of the bird; looks tack sharp to me. Nice pose and handling of the color. The bird is so stunning that I wouldn't have even noticed the white stuff if you hadn't brought it up.

I always like images showing off the blue feet of this species Carol and this image certainly delivers. The poo doesn't other me in the slightest and I didn't even give it a thought until I read your comment. I think if was a big pile it would be a different story, but this image works fine IMO. Nice work!
