The Greeters

One of the things I remember most vividly about Hawaii is the abundance of these flowers and that they are especially regarded. Symbolizing hospitality, Anthurium fittingly expresses the culture of the Hawaiian native people.

This bunch flourishes in the Volunteer Park Conservatory, Seattle.

D750 on tripod, 105/2/8 micro with circ.pol., f5.6, 1/20. NIK Viveza for local control of lighting. Even with the polarizer doing its best, it was not possible to eliminate the glare on the flowers. Okay by me, as I feel it preserves the look of the structure of the them.

Comments and opinions appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I also love Anthuriums (and Hawaii...) and you captured their beauty very well! :toast:

Catherine: Most excellent capture and kudos on using the polarizer to tame the reflectivity on the red surfaces especially. 2 thumbs up. >=))>
