Another image of a red fox - this one was feeling a little tired and lied down for a bit

Nikon D7100 300mm f4 + 1.7X TC shot from car
f/8
1/500s
ISO 500

Cropped to pano, minor adjustments, cloned out two OOF rocks in the foreground

- Luke

Btw, I appreciate all of the encouraging words on my last few posts, it means a lot!

I love the colors and weedy background. I do wish his eyes had been open a bit more, but that's what happens when one "sleeps". I might also add a little canvass on the bottom if you have it. Seems a bit tight to me. Well done.

Hey Luke,

Once again I find the most appealing aspect of this image to be the look on the fox's face. I like the "squinting" eyes and intense stare the most. I'm wondering if the contrast - at least on the fox - is perhaps a bit high (the front leg seems to be totally blocked out black and the eyes themselves are looking a tad too dark).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...

Brad - thanks for the comments. The blacks look good on my monitor - but it's been a long time since I played around with it with respect to calibration so I will look into that. Contrast overall may be a touch high via post processing

Hi Luke,

I like the pose and the squint fits the relaxed nature of this fox. You might be able to pull aq little more detail out of the dark regions as Brad suggested. Other than that, I enjoyed looking at this picture :wavey: ......................Jim
