This is full frame. The slanted perch made composition challenging; composed tighter on the left looks badly unbalanced. Selective sharpening to bird.

A striking bird that I am unfamiliar with. I love the background. The perch, while not ideal, is not a big issue for me. Well captured.

Pretty nice bird, great image.
Jim, I this were mine, I would try adding some canvas to the bottom / right of the image, adding some more room to the bottom, since the tail is a little close to the edge.

SWEEEEET! Very tough to get a nice non distracting background in Costa Rica or any jungle setting but you managed it here. The composition, as you've noted is a little unbalanced but you were obviously very close and this is full frame so you don't have any more room. This is good enough to spend a little more time on and add some canvas and create a little more space on the right and the bottom I think. Nice image Jim.
