Beautiful colors and nicely composed. Has a nice painterly effect. My only nit would be the dark green in the front of the path. I'm not sure what it is. It seems out of place and tends to stop the eye from wandering down the path.

Beautifully done. Love the way your processing emphasizes the path leading into a glowing bower.

The tunnel of color here works very well, Patricia. The colorful foreground leaves make a fine entrance and the gentle curve of the path leads nicely into the distance.

I like the depth given by the tree tunnel, and the beautiful artistic effect!

Beautiful light and color. I agree it has a painterly look; almost like a water color and its a very nice effect. Just goes to show you, you don't have to have a big expensive camera to create great art.

this is a striking display of color well done. the foreground and path lead you to the tunnel effect nicely. this borders on photo art, but I still like it.

Lovely painterly quality to this and nice comp.
I think a bit more sharpness would give it a bit more impressionist feel.....

This is absolutely gorgeous but probably verging on photo art. Very well done in any case.

Soft enough to be questionable, good enough to be more than acceptable. I like it alot.

A really cracking image Patricia. It has a little mystery and some very pleasing colours running through the archway of foliage. I am assuming that is a puddle in the front and the foliage from above is reflected in it. It does seem a little dark but no deal breaker for me.

Thank you for all your comments. The grey areas in the path are rocks. There is a reason CT has so many stone walls... it grows rocks. Too bad there isn't a market for them. I realize there is a fine line between nature and art, but this image is very realistic to the area and was only softened/blurred to give it a little more personality. I will post in PA, as I usually do, if the landscape photographers will promise to view more than just this gallery.

Now that I can see that these are rocks, I withdraw my earlier comment. The rocks in the foreground ties in with the rocks further up the path. This is a lovely image, well processed. I see no reason this can't be posted in landscape.

Looks like a classic New England painting. The only thing is some of the spots are a little hot (especially the yellows along the path) but don't know how much room you have for correction.

Had a hard time finding this image after the move. I'm not sure that it doesn't belong in landscape.

Anyway it's a refreshingly different interpretation of the natural world that I really enjoyed seeing. I can't make any suggestions because I'm not familiar with this technique but wanted to tell you how much I liked it.

Love the “glamor glow effect” It really sets off this already wonderful path.

Nice comp and find.

Hi Patricia :wavey: A beautiful scene. but with the unatural curvature of form in the foreground. it surely belongs in Photo Art..

Hi Patricia,

You've brought me into a peaceful, intimate place with this image. It offers something the large grandeur of wide-open mountain scapes can't. Adding the glamour glow enhances that, and is often the approach I try with my own images - find something within them that already makes them special, and then accentuate that quality in processing.

I've also appreciated following the discussion and various viewpoints which arose from this post, so thank you for that as well! :toast:

I use Nix Collection as well. Reminds me of some' path shots' I did a couple of years ago. Trees always lean in on paths for sunlight which create an arch of limbs. You captured that well. Great colors and soft effect. Have you played around with tonal contrast in Color Efex Pro4?
