The details and textures really shine in the large version, Dan. I particularly like the blue of the water. My only suggestion would be to tone down that one section of water at the middle top just a touch. Nicely done.

Lots of details in the large version, especially the various ice structures which are really interesting. No nits, well done!

Danny, it just looks gloriously cold to me, besides beautiful, what else is there? I love the frost and ice climbing the walls and wish you the best in 2015.

Dan, This is nice! I think your comp works very nice and I really like the blue tones in the water against the ice covered rock and grasses. I also think your shutter speed worked out very nice for the falls. Happy New Year!

Looks very cold, Dan. The icy branches in the foreground set the stage well for the chilly blue water and the icicles against the far wall.

Ice, wet moss and rocks... looks slippery! Nice way to ring out the old year, Dan. A beautiful image all the way around with fantastic detail that really reflects the conditions. No suggestions at all from me on a great photo. :toast:

The icy slope in the fg is what makes this image for me. The texture there is so nice contrasted with the smooth fall of water. The single icy stone in the midfg is a bit of a show stealer but would be an easy fix. Great job

A pretty unusual composition of a location I've seen photographed a bit lately. The ice on the rocks look kinda odd until you open up the bigger version where all the details reveal themselves very nicely.

This is nice tonal and color study. I like the ice and the whitewater (do agree about that spot near the top of the fall). Th tree branches on the right are slightly distracting. I love the color of the water in the pool.

A very compelling image Dan, can really feel the coolness. The blue in the water looks nice and I like the softness of the water falls and how the ice around almost looks like a miniature version of it. My only suggestion would be to boost the contrast and saturation around the falls somewhat as you have some nice colors and textures there, and I think that would make this image pop out more. It looks a bit flat to my eye but then that is purely a matter of preference.

Really nice choice of framing/composition..The ice really transforms these falls.

Hi Dan,

You have yourself a beautiful image to start off 2015. I really enjoy your choice for the shutter speed for the water, and the blues in the pool of water. The ice through out this scene is so darn interesting, and beautiful job framing up this image.

Beautiful work
