Dave - thanks!! I'm truly humbled and most appreciative!! This is a gorgeous image - you have captured the immensity of the Steens magnificently. The yellow aspens are a great detail! I lived in Oregon for a few years in the late 80's - early 90's, and visited more or less often (Kodachrome times....) I have been back a few times since I moved to Georgia, the last time some 7 or 8 year ago (still Kodachrome for me....). Your beautiful pictures have made up my mind - I'm headed out there this summer!!
Thanks again, and a very Happy New Year to you too!

Nice warm light and color, Dave. The image does a nice job of showing the scale.

Beautifull image, Dave. I like how you have not only portrayed the scale, but have displayed a fine range of colors and light. Not much more you can ask for. Happy New Year

Excellent vertical comp.
Lovely muted colors, I might tone down the sunlit cliffs just a tad....

This is a lovely view, Dave, especially with the lighting. The foreground ridge against the left frame works well to set the stage for the beautifully lit ridge at the top.

Happy New Year Dave,
I think this image does a sweet job in show casing the beautiful light on display. The diagonal lines in the image bring the scene together for me nicely, and I like the variations of color.
