Canon 1D-X, 500mm f4, laying on cliff edge
f9, 1/250, ISO1000

Another photo from my Pribilof Islands trip this past spring. This is North America's smallest alcid, just 6.25 inches long. It has an odd plumage; this is breeding coloration. In non-breeding the chest and neck are almost completely white.

50% crop. Selective sharpening to bird.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

A very nice view of this little beauty JIm. Excellent details and a pleasing composition. I hope some day to visit the Pribilof Islands.

Jim, lovely shot. Did you consider cloning the black area to the right of the bird? :toast:

Not seen one of these before. Great looking little fella. I reckon th dark area could go quite easily.
