One of the things the Bosque Del Apache is famous for is the massive blast offs of the Snow Geese.

Here's a bit of a different take. Hope you enjoy the view.

Canon 5D Mark III
70-200 f/4 L IS @ 70mm
.3 seconds @ f/9
ISO 50

Keith,
A frustrating shot for me is when I attempt to capture flocks in flight. They never seem to come close to being there. That said, this shot does give us the feeling of what really took place. It is simply a wonderful shot. :toast: :toast:

Looks like a flight of arrows. Not my cup of tea, but good nonetheless.

I really like it - there is a symmetry in the repetition of blurred birds that conveys the moment very well.

Very interesting and a great success, Keith. The left to right motion of the flock is a remarkable contrast with the stationary birds.

An excellent way to show the number of birds as well as the numbers of birds in motion. The visual impact of the birds in motion is heightened by those still stationary at the bottom of the frame. Unique in a very good sense. Congrats. Richard

That must be quite a spectacle Keith, your slow shutter speed captures it very evocatively
I'm marking it own on my calendar for next year.

Viewing the thumbnail, I imagined a thousand wind turbine props had come flyin' off the mountain
Very creative, not your run of the mill image to be sure. Neat combination of the abstract, 'anchored' in reality.
I like it :toast:
Happy Holidays Keith! :wavey:

Keith, I like the result here. I find it much more interesting with the sharper, "grounded" birds offering contrast to the motion blur.

Keith, I don't normally go for these types of shots but I really like this one. It shows a lot of activity in a very creative fashion. :toast:

Very cool shot. I like that I can see what is presumably flying through the air. The background mountain is still visible against the denser view of birds. And the foreground being more clear gives it a feel of a curve that I like up there. That sky portion where it has the feel of a curve is what holds my interest.

A dramatic and very artistic capture here Kieth  I like the curvy motion of the geese in flight and the sharp geese and cranes sitting on the water.

A Beauty!
