That's a handsome goat and an excellent capture of it, Ashleigh! Good rule of thirds composition and a perfect exposure. Nice detail in the scene also. I don't know what was beneath the rock that the goat is on but I wonder what a composition with the goat at the top of the frame would look like. I think it would make him look even higher and his gaze would travel in a diagonal line between the upper left and lower right corner.

I really like this image. But I also agree with Gary's suggestion of cropping down from the top and eliminating the sky.

The goat stands out well in this long distance view. Wow, 500mm + 1.4 and the goat is still small! I like the "two tone" look with the scattered snow, the craggy rocks and branches, and the small section of sky. I think this works well as presented, but it would be interesting to compare a vertical (as Gary suggests), or a version with the goat further towards the llc to see how they "feel". (While those may not be possible with this view, they provide food for thought in the future.)
