It has been a great fall season for all landscape photographer who visited the Swiss Belchen region.....well, too many photographers have been there. Since this place, especially the rock called "Ankenballen", became too famous in the last two or three years and almost every swiss landscape photographer wants to photograph it I forced myself to look for new places, perspectives and comps to photograph this rock. This image is one of those location I had already scouted two years ago but never went back to shoot from there....so this is my first image from this new spot

Wow! This is awesome, Bill. Fantastic view, conditions, light and color. The detail in this is just wonderful. I will look forward to seeing more of your work from here. Excellent as usual from you.

Very sweet image, Bill, and you've handled the light perfectly. I might try and tease a little detail out of the dark forest on the left but it's fine as presented.

It took me a while to find the old hand of man in this one. I'd be fine with cloning the house out and calling this a Landscape.

I like this angle very much, although I am not familiar with the "more famous one", so I can't compare. The dreamy fog + trees in the background are very effective, and the light throughout is excellent, as are the colors. I'm not sure about cloning out the house - I think it belongs there !!

Beautiful colors and light here. You got the timing on this just perfect, with the gold light on the point. You've found a winning spot, as I guess others have done, and for good reason. It might be hard to top this one.

I really like this image. A strong foreground with the rock and the light on the trees. Then the clouds draw the eye on into the image. The clouds and hills in the back keep you looking around there.
