Hey Martin,
This is very nice, a great scene that draws in the viewer, spectacular color that graduates perfectly from the sun, the faded tree line in the BG that frames the sun in a caressing manner and just enough art effects added for a subtle feel with a dynamic mood . . . Well Done !
My only suggestion would be to clone out the several white missing brush strokes of canvas bleed through, although well intended and would surely work well in a large print, they are distracting in this smaller version of the scene. Man !

Martin - lovely scene... it looks like you've processed this through a "paint" program of some sort. We all would love to know what you used.

Very evocative - the "single color" works perfectly in this photograph.
