Munching Coot

I find it very difficult to properly expose coots. Either the blacks have no detail or the whites are blown. The best I can seem to do is a happy medium. I think this image is one such as that. The whites in the bill are a bit blown, but that was the compromise I made. Anyway, comments and critiques welcome. I personally liked the fact that he was munching on some vegetation, which made this a little different for me. I also like the water color.

I like the color and sharpness of this coot photo! Also, the tilt of the coots head gives a feeling of activity. Thanks for sharing.
