In Miramar, Near Miami where we live, we share our neighborhood with quite a population of Mockingbirds and Blue jays (no relation with the new movie). Several weeks ago a Mockingbird couple decided to nest in a Bougainvillea that rests in a wall at our backyard.
Soon after we noticed the frantic to and fro and found that two new members had hatched out.
I did my best to take a couple of photos, knowing that I had a small window of opportunity as they would fly away pretty soon.
This is one of our new neighbors

This is great. How could anyone miss that target for placing food. Just keep it comin mom and dad! Well done. The only change I would make would be to give more room to the right and less on the left. A powerful image regardless.

It must be quite a challenge to get a shot like this, and with the bird perfectly placed slightly off center in the frame. The relative lack of color and the blurred background ensure that all attention is on that yellow beak!
