These impatients were already past their prime when they were hit with a significant frost. Image taken 10/12/14 at Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek Metroparks, Youngstown, Oh w/ D600, 24-70 at 70, f22, .5, f22, iso 400. Thanks for looking. Comments, suggestions, and questions welcome. :wavey:

I am always moved by images that manage to extract beauty out of distress - this is a great example of that, very beautifully done, with perfect light for the occasion!

This view offers a fine "painterly" palette of muted colors, Scott. Pulling a visually satisfying comp. out of business like this is hard and you've done very well. The frost makes a great added bonus.

Scott, this has a real watercolor effect to it in my eye. The lightly faded colors are really nice with the touch of frost. This is art in my book.

Hi Scott :wavey: The patterns of frost on the petal edges, along with the enchanting light and pastel colors, make this a magical presentation :toast:

I really like this Scott and as others have noted the frost makes the image. A perfect depiction of the Weekly Challenge deriving beauty from a scene most wouldn't glance twice at. :toast:
