Still trying my hand at Photo Art. I've been working on this image off and on for several weeks now. The two images are the same Red Shouldered Hawk 18 frames apart and worked together with art effects applied during the process.

Mike, I love the way the lightened version looks. Just really nice work, and kind of dreamy since it is obviously not realistic. The Red Shouldered Hawks are my favorites, so I wouldn't mind having this in my living room.

Hi Mike :wavey: I too prefer the lighter version. i like the oil color canvas effect, but the composition seems out of sync. especially the claws pointing away from the wings..

Mike, this is a neat, very thought provoking, highly artistic view. I really like the two views of the hawk and your placement of the flying bird. I wish the moss covered tree on the left weren't there. I wonder how cropping it out of the base image plus a modest shrinking and shifting of the flying bird would work.

Like this oil painted look, the lighter version's best IMHO Mike.
Photo art's wide open as to any subjective viewpoint, one will either like it or hate it many times :argue:
Well done! :toast:
