This is my favorite buck this year. I just love his nice rack. It's not symmetrical but it is somewhat robust with nice long tines. It looks really nice. He was just out walking around checking things out. He didn't chase after any does or interact with other bucks during the time I watched him. Here he's crossing a trail and probably headed down to the river. I didn't do too much processing of the image. I added a little warmth, while reducing the highlights and whites some. Then a boosted the contrast and clarity a bit. That's all. Your comments and critiques would be appreciated.

You did a fine job of processing on the deer, pulling him out of that shade. The very, very tricky job of rendering the really bright sunlit areas alongside that shadow is problematic. To my eye the colors in the shade feel somewhat odd, but I am not sure how to remedy other than pull back on the blues. Hmmm? This is a really pretty main subject and I hope you can catch him against a nice background with some pleasing light!

Looks like you had some difficult lighting to work with, but IMHO you have done well. The bunch of dried grass in the LLHC I find distracting, but not sure what you could do about. Maybe a tighter crop. Good position you caught the buck in. Thanks for sharing.
