Shot quite a few years ago on the tide flats at Valdez, Alaska. The late warm sunlight was broken up by large dark clouds resulting in a focus on the brown salt water grasses and the tops of the mountain peaks, resulting in a layered look.

Beautiful tonality, Gary, with a partially abstract feel, which I like very much. The composition, with its layering of the landscape and the echoing reflections, is absolutely delightful.

Beautiful light on the tide flats, Gary. Must be a truly awesome place to call home. I really enjoy your images from Alaska.

Love the emphasis on the golden grasses here, Gary. The rest of the scene puts the salt marsh into context very nicely.
