I was out a few weeks ago looking for interesting Autumn color in one of our older traditional cemeteries. I always enjoy the peace and quiet of wandering through old cemeteries. On this image I added the Photoshop oil painting filter to accentuate the ash tree leaves. Please view the large version, thanks for looking.

It sure changes the normal tone of a cemetery with all that bright, cheery yellow! I like the painting effect, John. It looks like an illustration rather than a photo.

Well composed/nicely balanced image, and I like the effect of the oil painting filter on the golden ash leaves, John.

John, I too really like how the filter works on the leaves and how warm and inviting the leaves make this scene. I find the filter effects on the tree trunk and shrub to the left of the Barnes headstone distracting and think that applying the filter through a mask that would limit its effects in the lower half (especially on the tree trunks) would be even better.

Very nice John, especially appropriate application of the oil painting filter.
The LP looks excellent to me. I just passed an old Texas cemetery the other day, and resisted the urge to stop.
Next time I'll listen to the spirit..
Merry Christmas! :wavey:
