Cottonwoods and Conifers

Harley and I were set up on top of a big boulder, allowing us to photograph from a slightly higher vantage point in one of the meadows in Yosemite Valley.

I liked the bright trees against the dark pines, in contrast with muted color of the dried meadow grasses.

Beautiful, Preston. Very nice combination of colors and layers. I could see cropping a bit off the right, just to the left of the large pine tree trunk, in order to center the cottonwoods and give the image symmetry. :toast: :wavey:

Preston, I love shots like this and this one is just beautiful. The higher vantage point worked great and the lighted trees look fantastic against the darker background. Very nice!

The bright trees look great against the muted golds of the grass and dark greens behind. You've placed them very well in the frame. That's a very dramatic browse line at the bottom of those trees, looks like Yosemite has the same deer problem as the rest of the nation.

The higher vantage point worked out wonderfully in this capture Preston, and I think the layers you have created, the beautiful contrasting colors, and the peaceful mood this image exudes, makes for excellent work in photography.

Oh,
This is framed up great, and again Beautiful photography!!!
