I'm ready for bed, but after answering some e-mail, I see I still have a few minutes to pick out another foggy shot to post. This week I reprocessed this one from back in 1209.

I remember the weather on this kayak camping trip on the Oswegatchie River in the Five Ponds Wilderness Area of the Adirondacks. Spending one morning (until 11 AM) in the tent during a constant downpour, and waking up to ice the next day. Nonetheless, it was a glorious trip.

Canon 50D
Tamron 18-250
Manual blend 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 sec. @ f/16; ISO 100
Four vertical frames, each blended and then stitched in Photoshop.

Wayne, I knew you'd been around photography for a while, but since 1209...WOW! I really like the view, with that island placed well against the shore and the distant horizon. The hints of color in both the sky and the trees add a nice touch of warmth and invitation. This sure takes me back to canoe trips and the joy of waking to a cool morning surrounded by the sounds of the northern woods.

Beautiful shot, Wayne, glad you didn't go to bed first  . There is a lot to interest the eye here; the rock, the reflections, the colorful leaves, the mist, and the sky. Even that sunken maple leaf is cool. I would like to try brightening up the overall scene just a bit, but then I might undo anyway.
