This cement truck has been there for many years.
It spoils the Landscape. Some-one should remove it.

Where is this Holger?
I've come across bulldozers and other artifacts of mining in random places in the middle of Death Valley NP, too, but was always more intrigued than offended. This one looks like an older model truck and I imagine in 20, 30 or 40 years it will be quite an attraction and then people will start pulling parts off of it and taking them home. There's an old Model T style car (with wooden frame parts) that I came across on my first DV trip in 1981 and I've gone back to see and photo it every trip since. There is quite a bit less car there than there used to be which kind of saddens me.

Just curious, and you don't have to answer Holger, but did you happen to be on private property when you took this?

Hey Holger,
I will have to disagree with you on this one, the truck adds to the landscape with the gravel piles in the BG. This is obviously not a natural area but an abandoned work site of some sort. The kid in me sees that truck as a cool play ground ready for exploration. The graffiti however sucks as does the moron with the spay can that painted it.
Congrats on the WP . . . :toast:

I must admit, that I jump all over the truck and took pictures, inside-out. (I am a vintage mechanical junky)
I would like to see some-one plant flowers at the out-take of the cement container, instead of the graffiti and bullet holes.
But it still bothers me to see it there.
