Suspend Be-leaf

I'm going to push the definition of leaf a little bit here... I'm mean all trees have leaves don't they, even conifers!

Found this "leaf" suspended above a trail at head height from an impossibly long bit of spider web in Van Damme State Park on the NorCal coast. I liked that you could see its environmental context in the background.

Canon T1i, f/14, 1/13 sec, ISO-400, 36mm, handheld (with a backpack on no less)

Good eye to see and catch this leaf image. The BG sets the leaf off well. Thanks for sharing.

Dave, as someone who routinely pushed the definition of WCs before I became moderator, I'm all for pushing the definitions. My first thought was that you had caught this leaf (and I believe that technically it is a leaf, with all the little "bits" being leaflets...) in midair. Regardless, I like the sense of catching the falling leaf suspended and how the warm tones in the leaf contrast with the soft, but recognizable green background. Fine catch.
