This will be the last one of these, at least for this year (unless I get another nice one  ).

The three compositions I've posted demonstrate the amazing variety of this phenomenon ... from the eloquent designs in the sand of the first image, to the neon blues and smooth lines of the second image, to the completely psychedelic kaleidoscope of colors and shapes of this third image.

Canon 5D II
Canon 180mm f/3.5L Macro
180mm, f/20, 0.3 second, ISO 50

This makes a fantastic set of images, Jim. All of the color, patterns and textures are fascinating. Nothing really to critique, so I'll just sit back and enjoy!! :toast:

Good as is for composition. The colors feel a bit flat on my monitor. Maybe a tad more contrast?

This one is awesome Jim,

I love the colors in this image, and the textures and design of the mud with the water oils on it are very intriguing. Again, great vision to capture amazing images like this one.

Just found this one, Jim. The colors in the film are amazing. The dark areas along the left side have me thinking that they're reflections of the surrounding cliffs (although I doubt that's right). They and the broken up area in the upper right add some nice variety and interest. Well seen.
