Rarity?

Not in Etosha, we saw Rhino virtually everyday.
This one we found on our last drive before we sped off to Zimbabwe.
You have to get off the main "speedways" to find good things, we saw nobody on this road each time we drove it

Nice Rhino, Ken. My only comment is the white line background is a bit distracting. However, I assume you were a bit restricted from getting out of the vehicle to allow you to change the angle. That being said, congratulations on getting this image of this Rhino.

I sure like where you've got the Rhino, it's sharpness, and the well coordinated and nice warm surroundings, Ken.

It's harder than it looks to get a clean rhino portrait like this. No interfering grass and the head is raised. It works for me, Ken.

Hey Ken,

So are you calling this rhino "nobody"?

Classic pose and I like the side-lighting - adds a nice touch of texture and depth. Interestingly, that white line in the background didn't register at ALL as a distraction for me (seemed to just add a "sense of place" as it looks like it's part of the edge of a waterhole)...but the OOF grass at the bottom of the frame did strike me as a very small distraction (but the fact that it matches the rest of the image so well does minimize its impact).

Cheers...

Brad

Very nice sighting and shot, Ken. I can imagine which road this was
For those reading - the "white line" is a massive "sense of place" and adds greatly IMHO.
