Agate Duet

The wolf situation is changeng in Lamar Valley. The Druid Pack, rulers of the upper Lamar since the reintroduction now have only 7 members, and are being displaced by the Slough Ck. Pack, which has 15. Tha Agate Pack, also about 7 members is also pushing Druid. The other morning Agate and Druid did some chasing of each other, and then howled back and forth. These are a couple of the Agates.
To see a shot of the helicopter darting operation, go to the Hand of Man Gallery.

Incredible, Pete! Very evocative - I can feel myself a part of the pack struggles for dominance. The BG is a bit noisy and thus prominent for me and can be easily fixed to put this image on a classic grand scale.
Exceptional!

Awesome Pete. Perfect composition. Your wolf images get better and better. I do see some noise in this; is it from cropping or the 800 ISO? Are you sure that this is not a digital composite where you cloned the wolf and put a second one in the frame? Now that you are digital I don't know what I can believe  :jump:

Nice shot. I like how the wolf colors and habitat colors compliment each other. Saw one colored much like the close wolf in Jasper this weekend.
