Uprooted, Sebago Lake, Maine

On our way home from Boothbay Columbus Day Weekend, we decided to drive through western Maine and stopped by Sebago Lake. Autumn color was not at peak and it was sort of a dismal day so I focused on other things along the shore like uprooted trees caused by storm waves off the lake.

Canon 5DM3
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L at 24mm
ISO100 1/13sec f/16

Thanks for having a look.

Eva,

The thumbnail doesn't begin to do this justice. Striking composition, conversion and detail - especially in the large version. Glad I stopped to look.

This is my kind of image!! Love it. I might be tempted to bring in the black point a ways and thereby pop the contrast a bit? Very nice work.

Very nice Eva, beautiful comp, tones and textures, always enjoy the little portraits of nature everyone steps over. Good eye.

Eva, This is really interesting to look at! Nice work on the composition which probably wasn't easy to do. Makes me think of deer antlers.

This is quite remarkable. In addition to the attention grabbing composition I am also enjoying the range of tones. Contrary to some of the other comments, I think the contrast is perfect as is.
