An Eastern (Arabian) sandfish skink (Scincus sp.), barely peeking out of the sand under which it spends most of its time. Nikon D800, 105mm, 1/125th @ f/11, ISO 100, diffused flash.

Nice work Tom. Good detail in the skinks head, also the band of sharpness that contains the skink is right on. Thanks for sharing.

Tom, great shot of this skink. Nice detail, comp and colour. 16 x 9 would make a fantastic screen saver...

Neat catch and good job of seeing, Tom. I like how well this image shows the color blending of the skink with the sand.

A great spot, Tom, very nicely photographed. The dof, with the fg as well as bg blur, works really well.
