I am up in door county Wisconsin this week, and the colors are still in peak form :). I will get back to posting more when I am back in town next week, but wanted to share an image with y'all. This was captured last Thursday at Starved Rock State Park, IL. It is a part of the park that is closed off due to people falling and injuring or killing themselves. I think these parks should have none of these silly laws for people, and hike at your own risk, but oh well it is Illinois and not Wyoming.

Anyways,
I finally got caught up here, but the officer was kind of enough to let me shot for 10 minutes until I liked the image I captured.Plus, I have a few more images from this location.

Always,
thank you for your thoughts and comments, and for taking some time out of your day.

Beautiful colors and flow through the scene Ryan. A very relaxing feel to this and a very nice reflection. Very well done.

Pretty near perfect: fore, mid and back grounds all interesting with rich color. I'm surprised you didn't kill yourself at such a dangerous spot.

My god, this image is perfect. One of the idyllic fall scenes I've seen.

Wonderful.
Perfect on every aspect.
My only suggestion is to go on with photographs like this one.

Righteous shot, Ryan. Were you really ticketed for $120 at the same time you were allowed to keep shooting? Weird...
My only very minor nit would be to perhaps crop down a bit from the top to reduce the amount of white/pink area at the top of the image but that's really scraping for a criticism.

Gorgeous color and a superb composition Ryan. Perfect water treatment for my tastes. Lovely Fall mood. Really fine work.

Don't get me started on the nanny society. (smile)

Ryan, This looks wonderful. I'm enjoying the fall mood of this very much. Your comp works so nice and I really like what that little foreground waterfall adds to the scene.

Exceptional image, Ryan. The mood here is fantastic as is the reflection and I particularly like the placement of that yellow leaf in the LRC. Bummer about the ticket. :frown: Print this baby big to help ease the pain.

Really nice lead in created by the small waterfall, and that reflection midway is great, what an explosion of color!
