Morning fog breaking up just north of San Gregorio State Beach on the San Mateo coast. That's a couple of hikers on the far bluff.

Canon T1i, f10, 1/800 sec, ISO-200, 180mm.

Great shot! Never seen so many layers. Not sure if I like the people in there or not. Seems to be significant color noise; easily removed with your editor.

I love layers disappearing into the distance shots and this one has those in abundance. The two figures on the distant ridge are great additions providing a fine sense of scale. (This would work well without them also but I think they add something extra.)

Really cool layers in this and a very nice mood with the fog. I like the people giving it a sense of size. Well done Dave.

I like this as much as a cake with a dozen layers. Beautiful scene, nice comp, and good processing choices. Well done!

nice layers ... colour doesn't add much and a B&W conversion might add some pop!

Hey Dave,
Well captured and presented image with a lot of interest as already mentioned.
To me it does feel a bit tight and could use more room on the right to allow more of the beach and water to be visible for a better balance. A fine image regardless and congratulations on the WP.

Pretty excited to return home from three days in Yosemite to find that my image has been named as a WP. :jump:

Thanks to all for your comments! I did do a B+W conversion, Stuart, but for some reason this version felt a bit stronger, probably because my PS converting skills are not all that great and/or I lack the software.
