Water colors

I don't think I have posted this image here. I made this image in 2011 at Copper Falls State Park. I particularly liked the top part which reminded me of Monet artwork. Cloned out a dust spot and a rock which destroyed the illusion. Turned the image 180 degrees and oversharpened it a little to create a painting grain.

Canon/19-35 Tamron@35mm, ISO200, 1/6s@F14, tripod/cable release.

I would like to hear what you think.

This works beautifully.
This IS a painting.
I like the colors and especially the shape of the reflection: in my opinion it reminds a lot to Monet artwork.
Very well done!

Really a very nice abstract Govind and a very painterly feel to it. The colors and textures look great. Very nice.

Hi Govind, This is wonderful! Yes, first thoughts are "Monet" and it works great. Some excellent work on your processing as well.
I see it is Copper Falls State Park and wondering when you moved to Utah. At least I think we met once in the U.P. and was thinking you lived in Milwaukee. Excellent work!

I have attempted just such a impressionist image from a reflection but not with the success you had with this one. I like this alot. Well done. Chet

I'll have to echo everyone else's thoughts on this Govind. This is very Monet like. Beautifully done.

Thank you, all, for your positive feedback. :wavey:

Nick: Yes, I was in Milwaukee until recently and moved to Salt Lake City earlier this summer owing to a job change. I do remember our meeting in UP near Munising quite well - I think it was in 2010 or so. :wavey:
