I found these lovely, naked aspens along Bishop Creek in the Sierra.

Stark beauty is the word that came to mind when I fist saw this. Any thoughts on B&W?

Absolutely fabulous image, Preston. Even though the aspens have shed their leaves they still have a quite beauty to them. I love all the details throughout this lovely scene.

This is fascinatingly stark, Preston. Very different and very striking. I think the very light touches of color work wonderfully.

Really love the tonal range of the rock and trees with a touch of color from the leaves. Great job!

Really like the gray tones in this Preston as they create such a stark atmosphere. Also a very nice composition. Really liking this a lot.

Fantastic late/post-fall image, Preston. The contrasting textures of the different elements are exquisite. Your composition is perfect.

Love the almost monochrome look in this Preston, the colour from the foliage and lichens really pop. Excellent detail throughout.
Cheers, Gary.

Very nice, Preston. I love the strong composition elements as well as the delicate color palette.
Where have you been hiding these gems for so long.

Beautiful scene you captured Preston! I love the touch of color those lingering leaves in the LRC lend to the scene. Aspen trunks can make for compelling images, sometimes more so without leaves, as you've aptly demonstrated here.

OMG......I know this spot.....
I recall you showing me this site a couple years later. Before I get too sure of myself I think it's the location along the south fork of Bishop Creek. Kind of a half way point on the right side of the road going to the lake. Regardless, a really neat take on this site. One thing about aspens they seem to make a wonderful subject year around, even being naked as seen here. Which obviously fits the title to a tee.
Excellent processing throughout.....
