Dahlia Redux 1

Hi all.

I am going to post a few more dahlia photos. I have loved all of the opportunities that I have had this year to shoot dahlias.

This dahlia was in my yard, and was one of my favorite blooms to shoot this year. I loved the outlining on the petals.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Nathan

Nathan - Another superb Dahlia and an equally beautiful shot. You have not mentioned the aperture but I would guess this was about f/16.

Love the deep red outline to every petal. Eye Candy :toast:

I like the purple outlining of this flower. I would characterize this as delicate and ostentatious at the same time. Good choice on the aperture.

Beauty, Nathan. Seriously, dahlia images don't get much better. I agree with Phil's assessment of delicate yet showy. The outline of the petals makes this very unique and eye-catching, and the light and exposure are perfect.

Hey Nathan,
So far I have yet to comment on your Dahlia series simply because I have been dumb-founded by the beauty and the technical expertise of these images.
Amazing flowers and presentations . . . :toast:

Excellent DOF, Nathan. You have perfectly captured the subtle coloration. The colors and outline of each petal looks like a master sketch. :toast:

Nathan I missed this beautiful photo. In the larger view one can see better the splendid design, shapes and colors of the image. The WP is very well deserved Nathan.
Cheers.
