Tjie,

I have no idea what this is, but it certainly is a beauty. Great pose, perch and background :toast: :toast:

Nice image! Don't recall seeing this hummer before. Good color and details, but I do find the dark area in the ULC to be a bit distracting. Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous take of this wonderful Hummingbird, Tjie. These guys seem to have much longer wings then any of the many hummingbirds we see here in So Cal. Nice to see a different type here.

That's a very attractive hummingbird Tjie. Those long wings are amazing. Great details in the bird and a nice bg too. The perch takes a weird twist. Sweet shot! :toast:

Very nice details Tjie, for me the flash looks a little bit too obvious and if you had gone a bit brighter on the bg (more ambient light) and a bit less flash I think that would have made this even better. :toast:

Nate, thanks for your comment/suggestion. I know the flash is quite obvious. I took this in the shade at almost sunset. The background is a bit far and dark. I think I would get a better result if I set the Flash compensation to -3.0EV instead of -1.7EV. -Tjie

Great capture of the iridescent throat, Tjie. Good use of the flash. The HB is very sharp. I see some noise in the background, particularly in the darker areas which can be easily fixed with a round of NR. :toast:
