The Oxbow bend of the Snake River, Grand Tetons National Park, WY

We were here for four mornings and part of an afternoon. I never got the reflection of Mt. Moran that I wanted and hope to try again next year but I did like this light that lasted for a couple of minutes the first morning we were there.

You didn't get the mountain reflection but what you did get is pretty special. The light is really sweet and the colors are beautiful. Big thumbs up from me.

Sweet light, Pat. The alpines really stand out in the overall darkness. I was there last weekend too, but the rain took out any chances of getting the mountain. :toast:

The bold yellows and oranges against the dark mountains and muted water is just stunning. The reflection of the leaves really adds to the fullness of the entire composition as well. Beautiful!

Great light, and a nice composition, Pat. I love 'storm light' like this. This is quite dramatic.

The conditions gave you an image that is excellent and different than the usual iconic view from here. Very nice, Pat. :toast:

Beautiful fall scene Pat with gorgeous light and color, and the reflections bring it all together beautifully. Excellent work.

Gorgeous! I love the light and the layering of the dark, light and dark. This will make a beautiful print.

Pat, I've been here many times, this is very different with the composition and could be almost anywhere with the result. The beam of light provided a very nice opportunity overall. Wonderful take from this area.

Pat: Not getting all of Mount Moran works really well for me in this comp because the light on the aspens is the star of the show and the mountain mere supporting cast. Spectacular light and shadow and a refreshing take on the icon. >=))>
