A different look at the Tetons. I captured this image in Grand Teton National Park during a rainstorm that rolled through. I liked the color of the Cottonwoods.

Processed using Photoshop CS3, Neat Image and LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I like the scene. I would perhaps bump the contrast up a little on the clouds and sun lit mountain in the BG. I think it would make it more dramatic.

Beautiful scene Jerry and the cottonwoods are really nice. As an alternative, I might take it to pano by cropping away about a third of the sky. I like it very much as posted however.

The sense of serenity and majesty is in the scene, certainly. I like the original, but I like the changes even more! :toast:

I thing the repost is a stronger image Jerry. Beautiful mood as well.

Your reposted image works for me, Jerry. I like the expansive view, and the band of cottonwoods adds a nice splash of color.

Jerry, I really love this photo! To me though, it is flat throughout. The background mountains and sky are lighter and less contrasty than the foreground. I would select each area separately in photoshop, using the top of the glacial moraine as the dividing line. Then adjust each area separately. The background and sky need much more contrast, so increase that, lowering exposure as needed. Then increase contrast (adjusting brightness as needed), on the foreground until it matches the background. I'm sure there are other ways to do this, but this would be the simplest for me. This is such a nice picture and I think you can really make it pop.
