Dripping Anticipation

Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/20 @ f11

Was getting in my car to go to work this morning when I spotted these drops on our new BoP bud. This is not water but some sort of nectar like substance seeping out of the fold where the flower bloom will emerge. Couldn't resist but did get to work late. Being the boss does have its privilege. All comments welcome.>=))>

I like that there are TWO drops and you can see the background leaf in them. Very nice image.

Super detail in the large drop, Bill. As noted by Ron, you can clearly see the refracted leaf, and the leaf detail is very good. Well composed with the diagonals and the drops. :toast:

Bill - Is that reflection or refraction now

Lovely angled composition with the drops placed around the thirds

Bill, I was amazed at your detail with the nice smooth background...then I saw you shot this with an A77...and it really blew my mind...LOL...I was out shooting mine today....so I know the noise that these can make...anyway great job getting it done. :toast:

Excellent image Bill. The color on the bud and the color in the background work very well together. But, the drops add points of interest and make the image. Very well seen and captured.

Really nice. Good title, too -- you wouldn't normally think of a floral shot as having tension, but this does, esp. with the vertical composition.

Lovely soft, watery textures, Bill, complement the clarity of the droplets themselves. The composition and subtle colours are first class !!

That is one thing that I love about my job Bill. I am not the boss, but I do have a pretty flexible schedule. I love how the leaf is reflected in that bottom drop. Nicely done!
