Trippy Ant Lion
by Tom Astle
I rarely do this sort of extreme false-color processing, but kind of had fun with this macro - a ventral shot of an ant lion larva. And actually, the false color shows off the hollow centers of the venom-delivering fangs pretty well. Maybe it'd make a good 1969 movie monster? Anyway: Nikon D800, reversed 28mm + 36mm extension, 1/100th @f/11, ISO 100, homemade lightbox with off-camera bounced flash, Lysergic acid optional.
